Students at Eenchokay Birchstick School

With a range of athletic, artistic, and leadership extra-curriculars available at EBS, students shine by excelling in their favourite activities. A particular strength of students at EBS is their amazingly creative involvement in the visual arts at all ages and a keen interest in the performance arts, including dance and music. Outside Looking In, a Dance Production occurring in Toronto, has in the past featured teams from Pikangikum.

Students at EBS are a dynamic group of youth ranging from kindergarten all the way to high school. With Ojibwe as their first language and English their second, the students have a unique opportunity to gain fluency in two languages. At the elementary level, students participate in Native Language courses with para-professional instructors from the community of Pikangikum, and at all levels students take English classes.
